NANCY MASSEY BROWN's Obituary
PERRY –
Nancy Massey Brown, 75, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, September 21, 2021, after an extended illness. Services will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Cross Point Baptist Church with the Visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. and the Funeral starting at 4:00 p.m. with Reverend Michael Stovall officiating. Burial will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Nancy was born in Oakridge, Tennessee, and lived for several years in Cherokee, North Carolina. Her family moved to Georgia while she was still in elementary school. Nancy moved to Perry where she worked hard to create and maintain a caring and encouraging atmosphere in which to raise her children. A homemaker all of her life, Nancy spent a great deal of time cooking for her family, including their favorites of pot roast and her special combination of ribs, green beans, and potatoes. Holidays were her favorites when her entire family gathered to eat and celebrate the time together. Nancy loved Jesus, her church – The Full Gospel Lighthouse, and her church friends. Singing regularly at church, she was able to share her musical talents which delighted her. Nancy was also given the gift of gab and enjoyed talking and having fun every chance she got.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and a brother.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Nancy are her children, Lisa Brown Ogan (George, Jr.) of Byron, Roxanne Brown Kuhn (Tim) of Perry, and William Brown of Warner Robins; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Melody Massey Bounds (Charlie) of Perry; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
