Milton L. Culpepper, 76, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Saturday, May 25, 2013
in Macon, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 28 at Sandy Valley Baptist Church in Warner Robins, with interment at Perry Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be on Monday at the funeral home from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Brother Phil Bryant will officiate. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, in honor and memory of his granddaughter, Olivia Culpepper.
Mr. Culpepper was born in Fairfax, Alabama and had lived most of his life in Houston County. He was the son of the late Clinton and Ada Lee Hanners Culpepper.
A U.S. Navy Veteran, he was a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base for 31 years. Very active for many years in his church music department, he played guitar and had been a deacon. He was an active member of the Adult Men's Sunday School Class at Sandy Valley.
His hobbies included golf, bluegrass and gospel music, Braves and Falcons, and his breakfast club, the "Perry Coffee Crew".
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years, Margaret Bowen Culpepper; children,
Lisa Bearden (Randy) of Warner Robins, Alan Culpepper (Cindy) of Henderson; grandchildren, Ryan Jordan of Warner Robins, Drew Culpepper and Elaina Culpepper, both of Henderson, brothers, Ira Culpepper (Emily Jo) of West Point, Georgia and Perry Culpepper (Jackie) of Covington, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter Culpepper, Wilburn Culpepper, Crew Culpepper, Clarence Culpepper, Herbert Culpepper, Robert Culpepper,and granddaughter, Oliva Culpepper.
