Mildred Jobes Prickett's Obituary
Life Legacy
PERRY-Mildred Jobes Prickett, 91, former long-time resident of Marshallville, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Summerhill Nursing Home. The family will visit with friends on Saturday, January 30, 2016, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home on January 30, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Marshallville City Cemetery immediately following the service. Mrs. Prickett was born in Mt. Holley, New Jersey. Always a homemaker, she worked hard to create a loving environment in which she and her husband would raise their 6 children. She loved to cook and bake. Mrs. Prickett made lunch for her family every Sunday, expecting each and every member of her family to be present unless they had a valid excuse for their absence. Her family was her passion, and she treasured every moment and memory she had with them. Mrs. Prickett was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Lyman H. Prickett, Sr.; her granddaughter, Kelly Powers Bodrey; her daughter, Kathy Prickett Powers; 2 sisters; a brother; and the infant twins of Andy and Billie Ann Prickett. Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Prickett are her children, Joetta Hughes (Charles) of Marshallville, Lyman Prickett, Jr. (Sharron) of Kathleen, Michael Prickett (Donna) of Hawkinsville, Robin Herring (Steven) of Kathleen, and Andy Prickett (Billie Ann) of Albany; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a son-in-law, Fred Powers of Marshallville; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
