MIKE ADAMS's Obituary
HAYNESVILLE –
Michael Thomas “Mike” Adams, 63, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Haynesville. The Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m., and the Funeral will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Fisher officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery immediately following the service.
Mike was born in Montezuma to the late Mark Anthony Adams and the late Betty Henson Adams. A lifelong resident of Haynesville, he graduated from Perry High School in 1976. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and returned home to accept a position with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He retired after thirty-five years of combined service. Mike enjoyed fishing and spent time working on small engines in his shop at home. He loved to fix a broken lawnmower or four-wheeler if it could be fixed. He was a true craftsman and carpenter and could build anything he wanted. Mike built his family’s home from the ground up, made the kitchen cabinets, and crafted several pieces of furniture within. A well-respected friend with a good heart, he loved animals and always considered keeping strays, even when he knew he shouldn’t. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Haynesville.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joey Adams.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Mike are his loving and devoted wife of nearly thirty-five years, Judy Darsey Adams of Haynesville; his son, Tanner Adams of Haynesville; his siblings, Cynthia Hamsley (Terry) of Ellijay and Eric Adams (Karen) of Perry; his sister-in-law, Sandy Adams of Perry; and many nieces and nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
