Micheal “Cajun” Robert, 58, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 8, 2013, in Atlanta. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Pastor Marcus Johnson will officiate. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be sent to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home , P.O. Box 52, Perry, Georgia. 31069.
Michael was born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, and was the son of the late Clarence and Doris Leblanc Robert. He had lived in Houston County for many years and was a self- employed carpenter. Micheal was a lifelong LSU fan, loved fishing, and had a great love of music as he was a sound technician for several local bands.He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Robert.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Monika B. Robert; his children, Chris Begnaud, Scott Robert, Barton Fontenot, and Joshua Robert; his siblings, Doris Blackwell (Jerry), Sheila Sorensen, Linda Anderson (Charlie), Alicia Trosclair (Lenneth), Christine Robert, Lucinda Robert, Shannon Robert (Kerry), Billy Robert (Tonya); and eight grandchildren.
