PERRY-Michael Frank "Mike" Stephens, 65, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017. Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sylvester City Cemetery immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to AA Perry Group, Alno Clubhouse, 203 South Street, Perry, GA 31069.Mike was born in Phenix City, Alabama, to the late Clarence Harold "PeeWee" Stephens and the late Pauline Peters Koger. He grew up at Ft. Pierce and, as soon as he could, joined and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Watkins Construction Company where he served for many years as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed motorcycle riding in his spare time.Survivors include his loving and devoted companion of 27 years, Sara Bailey; his children, Chris Stephens (Bristol), Christie Stephens (Sam), and Candice Stephens (Mike); his siblings, Bruce Stephens (Sharon), Eddie Stephens (Joan), Tommy Stephens, Karen Stephens Long (Kent Chambley), and Randall "Doc" Stephens (Betty); 7 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
