I met Scott while I was going to college in Americus. He was going to tech school with my brother. We would give Scott a ride home on the weekends. After he graduated, he would show up at random times, whether it was in Americus or at my parents' house in Warner Robin's. He was a lot of fun, and I really appreciated his genuine, kind nature. I am so glad I ran into him a while back and got to speak to him.
Oh cuz..... what to say? Goodbye seems too final for one so young as you. I refuse to give such a permanent farewell especially since I'm not okay with losing you. Instead, I'll say thank you for being unabashedly and authentically you. Your passion for life and love of family always meant that fun times were had when we were together. I'll always be grateful for the memories (cardboard box sledding down the stairs, go-cart racing in the woods, french braiding your hair minutes before I walked down the aisle to get married...), I miss you - so much. Give everyone up there a big hug because I miss them too. Fighting over who gets the last deviled egg at holiday meals won't be near as fun now so I'll just save it for you, ok? I love you.
Scott “Cotton Top”was very much my husbands best friend. He will be missed very much.

My name is Clayton Jordan Collier, me and Scott was approximately the same age, and I will remember Scott Cotton for as long as I live. I do know that Scott is probably the oldest friend I know that I’ve ever had and will ever have. Back in the early 70’s as kids we use to go exploring in the woods thinking there was Indians all around us and we use to have the best time riding our bikes. During the early 90’s Scott would come to Scampi’s, (a Seafood restaurant my Mama, Gayle, owned in Douglas, Ga) and he would sit at the Oyster Bar, while me and him would do a lot of catching up about life and the things that brought us to where we were at the time... that was some of the BEST times in my life! I miss you Scott and I will never Ever forget you buddy. May God bless you and may Peace be forever in your heart and mind. I know you’re a lot better off now knowing you’re with the Lord in Heaven above. Thank you for the times we had down here on earth. Until we meet again, your friend forever, Clay Collier.
Scott was one of the sweetest souls I've ever known. He will be missed. My prayers are with his family and many loved ones.
Oh Becky! I am so so sorry for the loss of your brother! Mine was also 51 when he passed. Loosing a sibling is a whole different pain. Thinking of you and praying for your family.😢

Mike, you will be missed by many at the Museum of Aviation. One of the saddest parts of leaving that job was knowing I wouldn't have your positive energy in my life. You fought hard much of your life but did so with grace, laughter, and a smile. Thanks for all the great memories.
