MICHAEL RICHARD "MIKE" BODEN's Obituary
PERRY –
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Richard “Mike” Boden, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and friend, who left us on January 29, 2025, at the age of 55. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. and will be followed by the service, which will begin at 3:00 p.m. Larry Wood will officiate. Interment will be in the cemetery at First Baptist Church of Haynesville immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Perry Volunteer Outreach, 1100 Meeting Street, Perry, Georgia 31069.
Michael was born on November 4, 1969, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, to the late Dianne and Donald Boden. Their love and values shaped the man he became—a dependable, determined individual with a fierce spirit. He was known as a “jack of all trades,” someone who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. His dependable nature and determination inspired those around him, and he approached life with a hardheaded but loving spirit that was uniquely his own.
Michael had a passion for motorcycles that was unmatched. Whether he was cruising down the open road, tearing through sand dunes, or racing through country dirt, he had a smile on his face with the wind in his hair.
Let us remember the laughter, the adventures, and the love that he shared with each and every one of us. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest. He was a proud grandfather whose grandchildren brought him immense joy. Michael’s absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Michael are his loving and devoted wife, Cindy Boden of Perry, with whom he shared nearly 15 years. Additionally, Michael leaves behind his daughters, Jasmyn Trembly, Breana Prather, and Madison Prather; his stepsons, J.T. Brown, Jason Brown (Jessica Hughes), and Jacob Brown (Alexis Brown); and his stepdaughter, Crystal Brown (Joseph Anderson); his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Papa,” Emily, Everly, Noah, Shiloh, Amelia, Davin “D.L.,” and Braxton.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
