Mary 'Jo' Williams' Obituary
PERRY-
Mary "Jo" Williams, 86, gained her heavenly reward on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Heart of Georgia Hospice Inpatient Care Center. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Heart of Georgia Inpatient Care Center.
Mrs. Williams was born in Crawford County, Georgia, on January 20, 1927, to the late William Edgar Bostick and Maude Bostick. She had an early career with Robins Air Force Base, which she left for the higher calling of raising a wonderful family before God with love and a "hands-to-the-plow" determination. She also offered her secretarial skills to the Houston County Department of Family and Children's services, Goodroe Realty, Watson-Richardson Realty, and Landmark Realty.
Mrs. Williams was a long time member of Perry Presbyterian Church, where she served briefly as the church historian. Her hobby and point of pride was her collection of bird statues from nature. She loved all life, and now she soars in freedom as eagles from the cares of this world. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Remus Williams; and her brothers, Bill Bostick and Claude Bostick.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Rosemary Wright of Perry, and Glynn Williams (Pam) of Blountville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Kellie Lamb of Warner Robins, Andrew Williams(Susan) of Douglasville, and Nathan Williams of Atlanta; and her great-grandchildren, Gilliam Lamb of Warner Robins, Kaylynn Williams, and Jayden Williams of Douglasville.
Condolences may be left for the family in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
