Mary Pinkley Vance's Obituary
PERRY-
Mary Pinkley Vance, 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, after an extended illness. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends and family at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions be made to Rehoboth Baptist Church, 2238 US Hwy 41 N, Perry, GA 31069.
A homemaker all of her life, Mrs. Vance was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and the Adult I Sunday School Class. She was also a long-time member of the Gleaners Club, always helping others in need, driving elderly to appointments in the early years, and planning and participating in the entertaining activities for those served. She was a generous lady with a true servant's heart who will certainly be missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Vance was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Joe R. Vance; her parents, Neil Haywood Pinkley, Sr. and Lena Henry Pinkley; her sister, Jean Keller; and a son, Bruce Haywood Vance.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Vance are her loving and devoted sons, Ricky Vance and Ronald Vance (Gail), both of Perry; her grandchildren, Rachel Vance, Bruce Vance, and Phillip Vance; and her brother, Neil Haywood Pinkley, Jr. of Memphis, TN.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
