Mary Annette Parker Gonzalez's Obituary
Mary Annette Parker-Gonzalez, "Annie", was born April 5, 1963 in Alexander City, Alabama to parents Benjamin and Mary Lou. She passed away on Saturday July 16, 2016 after losing her brief battle with cancer. Annie is preceded in death by her father Benjamin Robert Parker. She leaves behind her husband Ivan Gonzalez-Rivera, her mother Mary Lou Bailey-Parker, her three daughters Jenny Lee Gonzalez, Jean Lee Gonzalez, and Thea Adams, her six sons Ivan M Gonzalez, Sean Gorley (Michelle), James Aaron Gorley, Benjamin Gorley, Matthew Gorley, and Gedeon Gonzalez (Sandra), as well as eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Annie also leaves behind one sister Karen Parden (Duke), and five brothers Kenneth Parker (Lee), Terry Parker (Ruthie), Stephen Parker (Kasey), David Parker (Shelly), and Timothy Parker.Annie moved to Mobile in 2003 to be closer to her parents, and soon after began attending Remington College where she earned an Associates Degree in Computer Networking Systems. For a few years she worked as a sales representative for Supreme Medical, but for most of her life Annie enjoyed living her life as a wife and mother. Annie married the love of her life on July 26, 2013, she and Ivan loved spending time together and traveling. Their favorite pastime was hosting karaoke events for their friends and family as well as several different local restaurants. They served BridgePoint Church by faithfully hosting the karaoke for children at their Fall Festival annually since 2012. Music was everything to Annie, the first thing that comes to mind for most of those who knew her was her beautiful singing voice. Family and friends will gather to hold a memorial service to celebrate Annie's life on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at 6:30 pm at BridgePoint Church, 5237 Halls Mill Rd Bldg D Suite A, Mobile AL 36619. The service will be officiated by Pastor Theodore Andrew Reed.
