MARY MERRITT's Obituary
EVANS, GA –
Mary Elizabeth Merritt, 96, beloved wife of the late Charles Ebe Merritt, Sr., entered into rest on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at Piedmont of Augusta. Family will receive friends for a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Chance and Hydrick Funeral Directors in Augusta. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12 Noon in the Chapel at Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church in Perry, Georgia. Interment will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service. At the family’s request, memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to www.kidneyfund.com.
Mrs. Merritt was born in Savannah, Georgia, the daughter of the late Oscar Leonard Bonner and the late Priscilla Jones Bonner. Mrs. Merritt was a homemaker and a member of Christ’s Sanctified Holy Church.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandi Anne Rodgers.
Mrs. Merritt is survived by her children, Lisa Anne Merritt, Charles Ebe Merritt, Jr., and Julie Merritt Brackett; her grandchildren, Meredith Jones (Chip), Troy Alexander Rodgers (Sarah), Charles Ebe Merritt, III, Shelby Rose Merritt, Mallory Elizabeth Merritt Parker (Austin), Michael E. Brackett, Jr. (Nadia), and Harrison T. Brackett (Alanna); her great-grandchildren, Cobi Jones, Micah Jones, Zeb Jones, Juda Rodgers, Asher Rodgers, Stormie Parker, Stella Parker, Chaz Merritt IV, Collier Merritt, Caiden Merritt, and Annalynn Powell.
