MARY VERONICA JINGLEWSKI's Obituary
ATHENS, GEORGIA -
Mary Veronica Jinglewski passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Athens, Georgia, after a valiant fight against adrenal cortical carcinoma. She was only 36. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 12 Noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2410 GA Hwy. 127, Kathleen, GA 31047. Inurnment will follow in the Dogwood Columbarium in Perry Memorial Gardens, 2106 Macon Road, Perry, GA 31069. Reception to follow. Details will be announced once they are available. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests tax deductible contributions made in her name to P.E.O. International, c/o 205 Brook Court, Athens, GA. 30606.
Mary graduated from Perry High School in 2007. She graduated from Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri with an Associate’s Degree. It is there that Mary started her lifelong membership with P.E.O., Philanthropic Education Organization, a sisterhood of women who are purposeful and passionate about celebrating, supporting, and educating women. Mary went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Berry College and a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of British Columbia. Mary was smart, kind, beautiful, and funny who was always willing to help others. Mary was active in many organizations, including P.E.O. and Odyssey of the Mind. She was the P.E.O. Georgia State Historian and former President of the local Chapter “U” in Athens. She was presently working as a technical writer for Honeycomb.IO in San Francisco.
Mary was the cherished wife of Max Doty of Athens, Georgia; the beloved daughter of Frank Jinglewski and Ellen Kelly of Perry, Georgia; and the daughter-in-law of Daniel and Rebecca Doty of Hoschton, Georgia. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
