Mary Jean Autry Kanaly, 79, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 14, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Interment will be held at a later date in Greenwood, South Carolina. Mrs. Kanaly was born in Greenwood, S.C. and had resided in Perry for 24 years. She was a retired caregiver for a nursing home in Greenwood. She loved life and gardening and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mildred Hunt (John) of Perry, Margaret Young of Corpus Christie, Texas, Michelle Young (Allen) of Warner Robins, and Michael Kanaly (Lee Ann) of Cordova, Tennessee, five granddaughters, four grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
