Life Legacy
KATHLEEN-Marvin "M.L." Mizell, 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 14, 2016, after an extended illness. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 17, 2016, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry with the Funeral Service to begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Veterans Section in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins. At M.L.'s request, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to H3 - Heaven, Hearts, & Horses Equine Therapy Center, 115 Danny Morrell Road, Reynolds, GA 31076.M.L. was born in Pearson, Georgia, and moved to Houston County in 1960 from Starke, Florida. A 1964 graduate of Perry High School, he proudly served our country in the US Army as a paratrooper. His career was spent as an Iron Worker with the Local Union 387 in Atlanta. M.L. enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, and traveling. His favorite way to travel was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle, which he did regularly with a group of friends. M.L. was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Kay Lindsey Mizell; his siblings, Tony Mizell, Henry Mizell, Kay Mizell, Louise Mizell; and his beloved wife of 30 years, Miriam Wheelus Mizell.Left to cherish the memories of M.L. are his daughters, Lisa Mizell Stetson (David) of Bonaire and Rachel Mizell Dykes of Warner Robins; his grandchildren, Jonathan Stetson (Katelyn), Dylan Stetson, Taylor Dykes, and Darius "Biggie" Williams; his great-grandchildren, Dalton Stetson and Jocelyn "JoJo" Thomas; his mother, Vonell Musgrove Mizell; his siblings, Nicky Mizell (Amanda), Ira Mizell (Julie), John Mizell (Sherri), Ray Mizell, Jim Mizell, Judy Dunn (Farron), Julie Mizell, and Jeff Mizell (Shelby); and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
