MARVIN "JERRY" ERICK's Obituary
Haynesville-
MGST Marvin “Jerry” Erick, USAF, (Ret)., 86, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Friday, November 22, 2024. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., at Christian Hope Church in Warner Robins, Georgia.
Jerry was born on September 7, 1938, in Americus, Georgia to the late Marvin Erick and Mildred Forsyth Smith. Jerry was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force and retired after serving twenty years. He served in many locations including Vietnam, Thailand, Alaska, Guam, Alabama, and Robins. After his military service ended, Jerry began working in civil service at Robins Air Force Base, as a propellor mechanic for C-130s and retired after thirty-four years.
Left to cherish the memories made with him are his wife of 30 years, Deborah “Debbie” Moore Erick; his children, Donna Jean Erick of Wrightsville, Chris Watkins (Mindy) of Flowery Branch, Stephen Watkins (Gayle) of Smith Station, AL; his adopted children, Agnes, Phillip, and Tammy; his grandchildren, Leslie, Eric Bonner, Abby Watkins, Cohen Watkins, Trey Purvis, Jada Watkins, Andrew Watkins; great-grandchild, Haisley Watkins; his half-brothers, Buster Smith, Pete Smith, Ray Smith; and half-sisters, Luella Smith Harbuck, and Mary Smith Easterling; and his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Debbie Moore.
