ElkoMartha W. Fairchild, 79, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her residence with her loving family by her side. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 24 at Grace Pointe Church in Fort Valley with entombment in Perry Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held 6 - 8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Fairchild was the daughter of the late Clifton and Martha J. Winner and was born near Pittsburgh, PA. Her family moved to Whittier, CA when she was nine and she grew up there. Robert and Martha moved to Houston County in 1985. She met the love of her life, Robert Fairchild, in CA and they were married within one year. According to her husband, she was the "jack of all trades, and the master of most".Mrs. Fairchild was the happiest when she was driving, whether it was a race car, a motorhome, or an over the road truck. She loved to travel and loved the sun.Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 63 years, Robert Fairchild; daughter, Becky Brannen (Wallace) of Elko; sister, Pat Paolinetti (Jim) of Huntington Beach, CA; step brother, Gary Myers (Marty) of LaHabra CA; eleven grandchildren, including her special angel, Patricia Roberts and her sunshine, Shannon Smith; twenty three great grandchildren, including Cole, Catherine, Cailyn, and Camdyn; three great=great-grandchildren; and preceded in death by her children, Roberta Ellis, Robert C.
