Martha Forbes Vaughn's Obituary

Martha Forbes Vaughn, 105, went to be with her loving savior on Thursday, October 30, 2014. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church with Reverend Steve Gray officiating. Interment will be officiated by Reverend Harry Collins, III, in the Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church.
Mrs. Vaughn was born in Camden County, North Carolina, on July 17, 1909, to the late Jonathon and Mary Riggs Forbes. A homemaker, she was formerly a resident of Augusta, Georgia, and has lived in Perry for the past 17 years at Christ's Sanctified Church Home for the Aged. She will always be remembered for her faithfulness in God and her love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family. She was a Godly example to all who knew her, and she will forever be missed. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe J. Vaughn; 2 sons, Floyd Gallop and Harley Gallop; 1 granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; 3 brothers; and 6 sisters.
Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Vaughn are her sons and their wives, Joe A. and Ann Vaughn of Clayton, North Carolina, and Jerry W. and Dale Vaughn of Evans, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
