MARISA JORDYN WINKLER's Obituary
Marisa Jordyn Winkler, 28, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 17, 2023. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, and the Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Cleve Calcutt officiating. A Private Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens where she will buried with her beloved brother. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, P. O. Box 52, Perry, GA 31069, to offset the unanticipated funeral expenses.
Jordyn was born in Macon and grew up in Perry. She was a 2013 graduate of Perry High School where she was an active member of The U.S. Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) along with her late twin brother, Colten Winkler. The family lost Colten in a tragic car accident when the twins were seniors in high school, and Jordyn suddenly lost a part of her that could never be overcome. She was a big defender of those she loved, including her children, to whom she was very attentive when they were together.
Jordyn was preceded in death by her twin brother, Colten Joseph “Bubba” Winkler.
Survivors include her children, Madison Tharpe, Mary Jane Tharpe, and Christopher Tharpe; her mother, Dianna Winkler; her father, Jim Winkler (Nina); her sister, Angela Winkler; and other family members and friends.
