Marilyn Jacobs' Obituary
Marilyn Jacobs, age 82, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Mom was a dedicated wife. She loved sewing homecoming and prom dresses for her granddaughters when they were in school. She loved just having “her boys” (grandsons) around. She loved baseball and going to the University of Mobile and watching as Mike coached. She was very proud of all of her children and all they had accomplished in their lives. She loved us very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Jacobs, granddaughter, Shea Gollotte, great-granddaughter, Abby Wright, brothers, Vaughan Chance, Roy Chance, sister, Laura Erickson. She is survived by her children, Peggy (Ray) Gollotte, Pam (Ray) Hardy, Mike (Joy) Jacobs, siblings, Byron Chance, grandchildren, Sheila (Scott) Saucier, Sherry (Kevin) Gorum, Tonya Sapp, Neal (Janika) Davis, Josh (Kara) Jacobs, Jeff (Amy) Jacobs, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held at Serenity Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2 pm with visitation starting at 12 noon until service time. Interment was in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
