Marie Preston's Obituary

Marie Preston,79, passed away at her residence on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 14 at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home with a private interment in Perry Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
Mrs. Preston was a native of Mobile, Alabama and had lived in Middle Georgia since 1964. She was a nurse by profession when she moved to Warner Robins then later worked at Robins Air Force Base until her retirement. Mrs. Preston was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warner Robins where she was active in the Joy Sunday School Class. Other memberships include the Cherokee Rose Garden Club and the Vintage Rose Red Hatters. Her hobbies included ceramics, reading, sewing, and painting. She loved her family and was always keeping grandchildren who lovingly called her "Mamaw". Mrs. Preston had cherished her relationships with her friends who have loved and supported her since the loss of her husband, especially her caregivers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; Larry Preston of Bonaire, Ricky Preston of Macon; Linda Pless of Bonaire, and Cathy Thompson of Perry; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
She was married to Ed Preston for 46 years and he preceded her in death in 1997.
