I also have many fond memories of miss Marie,as a child growing up in the Norfolk church I remember her well seeing her up on the stand at church and at Sunday school with her daughters Janice, Sheila and Dora,but more recently at the campground where she in her loving way helped and looked after my mother & helped make it possible for her to live at her cabin.Since then I've always looked forward to seeing her & talking with her to let her know how much I appreciated her kindness. My heart goes out to her family in their time of loss, but I rejoice in knowing she is in the loving arms of Jesus. God bless her and her family.

I have so many Memories of Sweet Marie, I got to spend time with her each Saturday morning doing her hair. We had some Wonderful Conversations. I’m so glad we travelled together going to Norfolk to attend my Cousin, Jay Rickards funeral. She always had a sweet Testimony for the Lord and appreciated what God had done for her. She had some struggles in her early life but persevered. She lost her only Son way to soon. I grew up with her girls in Norfolk, Va and have known Sis. Marie all of my life. I was Thrilled to be able to fix her hair one last time, yesterday. She was a JEWEL to our Camp Ground Crowd and we all loved her dearly.

I loved my Old Trap cousin! Marie was such an inspiration! She was a strong woman, such a hard worker for family and for the Lord. She fell in love with Jesus and trusted in Him all the way til the end. I will meet her in Heaven one day and we will sing the song the angels cannot sing. Much love to her sweet girls and grandchildren.

Miss Marie is loved by my family and we love her family too! What an amazing lady is was! Lazy is not a word you can ever use for her. I do not know how she kept going? But, she did! She was an encouragement in church and I liked hearing her talk. We will miss her!
