MARIAN HIGDON's Obituary
PERRY –
Marian Elizabeth Walls Higdon, 59, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2026, after an extended illness. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. All other services are private.
Marian had a servant’s heart and enjoyed meeting people. She was a waitress and a bartender for over 10 years at several different locations in Houston County. Her career offered her lots of friends through the years. Since 2015, Marian and her husband have been retired together. She spent a great deal of time reading from her collection of books and binge-watching television series. Marian will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents; a son, David Walls; and three sisters.
Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years, Arnold Higdon of Perry; her children, Liz Moore of Perry, Bradley Herring (Erin Taylor) of North Dakota, Crystal Melonson of Vero Beach, Florida, and Sherry LaSage of Stewart, Florida; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Summer and Melinda; and several nieces and nephews.
