Margaret Steele Fritsvold's Obituary
Margaret Steele McKerrell Fritsvold, 90, of Perry, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018. All services for Margaret will be private. Margaret was born on March 7, 1928, in Edinburgh, Scotland to Lyle Manus and Mary Young Cowper McKerrell. She and her husband, Alf Magnus Fritsvold, married in 1945 and soon relocated to Norway to raise their family. In 1962, they immigrated to the United States, became citizens, and planted their roots. Mrs. Fritsvold worked in the hospitality industry managing various hotels in Vermont and Massachusetts, as a clerk for a health insurance agency, and moved to St. Petersburg, Florida where she retired. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alf, two sons, Manus Fritsvold and Odin Fritsvold, a daughter, Synnove Fritsvold, and a brother, Manus McKerrell. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Tove Daoust (Michael) of Bonaire, Georgia; two grand-daughters, Turi Daoust of North Hollywood, California and Danielle Daoust of Atlanta, Georgia; a daughter-in-law, Debra Fritsvold; a grandson, Erik Fritsvold (Fabiola); and a great-granddaugter, Kayla Fritsvold of Carlsbad, California.
