MontezumaMargaret Ranson Thompson, 77, passed away at her residence on Friday, December 9, 2016.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 15, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home, with interment at 3:00 p.m. at the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery near Lumber City. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. The family suggests contributions to Heart of Georgia Hospice. Mrs. Thompson was born in Charleston, West Virginia and had lived in Middle Georgia for 40 years.She was the daughter of the late Jamie and Mabel Pearl Ranson. Mrs. Thompson had worked at K-Mart for many years. She loved fishing, gardening and going to the beach.Left to cherish her memory are her daughters and families, Rhonda and Duane Halpin, Renea Wyers, and RaeAnn and William Wells; brother, Joe; grandchildren, Christie Bryant, Sean and Brett Halpin, Brian Willard; Justin and Tyler Wyers; Crystal, Paul and Daniel Hollar and Lindsey Wells, 12 great grandchilden and 1 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Thompson; siblings, Anna, Betty, and Jimmy.Condolences may be left at watsonhunt.com.
