Marcia Cannon's Obituary
PERRY, GA- Marcia Strouse Cannon, 78, formerly of Bernville, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 23, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 1120 Morningside Drive, Perry, GA 31069. Marcia was born on June 12, 1940, to the late Irvin and Irene Boone Strouse. She retired as a nurse from the Kutztown Area School District in Pennsylvania. She loved to travel and crossed the country before relocating to Perry. Marcia was a kind and giving person. She will be remembered for her fondness of Manhattans and for always having a story to tell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Fleischer. Left to cherish the memories of Marcia are her loving and devoted husband, Robert Cannon of Perry, GA; her brother, John Strouse (Peggi) of Ambler, PA; her step-son, Jeff Fleischer (Gina) of Harrisburg, PA; her step-daughters, Sherry Yearty (James) and Lisa Cannon, both of Eastman, GA; three step-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
