Marcel, you were in my life for a good many years while in Houston and I treasure every one of them. You were a great influence on Scotty and Christine and were always there when needed. You are now flying with the angels and don't have to worry about those pre-flight checks. You will be missed, my friend.
I first met Marcel when I joined the Harris County Sheriff's Office in 1980. I was working the old booking desk and we had a person that spoke no English. I finally realized the male only spoke French. So I yell out loud,"Now where in the heck am I going to find someone who speaks French in Texas"! And Marcel walks up and started talking to the male in French and I was just standing there with my mouth open! I could not believe it. When he was a Detective and you needed anything he was there for you. I knew he had moved out of state and I thought of him every once in awhile when I see an old Bell Huey Helicopter flying overhead. He was and always be a great friend.

My deepest condolences to the Dionne Family. It is so ironic I was just thinking about Marcel the last couple of days. About this time of year in 1984 Marcel and I took a fugitive trip to Manchester, New Hampshire. Upon our arrival we found ourselves up to our ears in candidates, media, and Secret Service. Marcel was a dedicated and determined man always trying to help others. God Bless You Marcel, may you Rest In Peace.
