Malinda Barnett Williamson's Obituary
Life Legacy
PERRY-Malinda Barnett Williamson, 72, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, after an extended illness. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Mrs. Williamson was born in Ft. Valley to the late Edward and Julia Brown Barnett. She was very computer-literate and detail-oriented. Through the years, Mrs. Williamson worked at Boeing, National Bank Products in Bonaire, and ECI, formerly known as McNeal-Loftis, in Warner Robins. She enjoyed the various tasks assigned by her employers including typesetting and creating forms and other documents used in businesses. Mrs. Williamson was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry, and was always grateful for the many visits with her pastor and other church members. Whatever she did, she did the very best that she could. While battling fibromyalgia for many years, whether she was happy or sad, comfortable or in pain, she smiled through it all. Mrs. Williamson was the most loving and caring grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, loving them unconditionally and without hesitation. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ella Sue Shropshire.Left to cherish the memories of Mrs. Williamson are her loving and devoted husband of over 50 years, Roy Williamson of Perry; her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Shari Williamson of McDonough, and Robbie and Regina Williamson of Bonaire; her grandchildren, Hunter Lyn Williamson, Zac Williamson, Ben Curry, Brandon Williamson, Leigh Williamson, and Molly Williamson; and several nieces and nephews.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
