MALCOLM HUBERT TIDWELL's Obituary
MILLEDGEVILLE –
Malcolm Hubert Tidwell, 75, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on
Monday, November 14, 2022. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday,
November 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Perry Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tommy
Perkins officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial
contributions to Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Malcolm was born in Perry and was the son of the late Hubert and Louise
Shellnutt Tidwell. A 1965 graduate of Perry High School, he resided in
Milledgeville since 2001. After retiring from Civil Service, Malcolm was active in
the construction industry and had built many homes in the middle Georgia area.
He was the owner of Troy Tron, Inc. Malcolm loved hunting, fishing, and
woodworking, and was an avid scuba diver and underwater photographer.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Malcolm are his loving wife of forty-one years, Janet Lawhorn Tidwell of Milledgeville; his children, Troy Tidwell of
Hawkinsville, Dr. Shannon Rainey (Kerri) of Augusta, and Brian Rainey (Staci) of
Grand Rapids, Michigan; his grandchildren, Buddy, Alison, Maddie, Austin, and
Eden.
