Mac was born in Macon to the late Malcolm P. Walton, Sr. and Ruth McKinley Walton. A lifelong resident of Perry, he was a 1959 Graduate of Perry High School. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after 37 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Perry. After retirement, he enjoyed every aspect of fishing, from spending time waiting on the water to building rods and making jigs - it was his passion. Through the years, he even made custom rods for professional fishermen. Mac also loved to spend time with his family and friends, who will truly miss his witty humor, his stories, and their time together.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Deena Walton of Perry; his grandchildren, Will Walton, Ben Walton, and McKinley Walton; his wife, Barbara Walton, and her children and grandchildren; and several cousins.
