LYNN BARRENTINE CALHOUN's Obituary
BONAIRE –
Lynn Ellen Barrentine Calhoun, 73, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday evening, August 27, 2024. Services are pending at this time and will be announced as soon as they are available. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Southeast Region Little League Headquarters, 439 Snellgrove Drive, Warner Robins, GA, 31088.
Lynn was born in Macon on September 27, 1950, to the late Hugh and Estelle Barrentine. Lynn enjoyed growing up in small town Warner Robins and was a proud Eagle, as she was a Northside High School Alumnus. Her love of school and numbers transcended into her career as a bookkeeper and accountant. Lynn moved away after graduation, for a short time, but her bond with her family eventually brought her back to Middle Georgia where she called Bonaire home for 44 years. The love for her family was closely matched with her love of sports, most predominantly baseball. Lynn could always be seen watching a game of some sort, but her true love in any sport was the games that featured kids truly enjoying the game.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mike Barrentine.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Lynn are her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Lori Calhoun of Kathleen; her grandchildren, Taylor Calhoun and Skyler Calhoun; her sisters, Kathy Roberts (Jim) of Skipperville, Alabama, and Shelley Barrentine of Bonaire; her brothers, Malcolm Barrentine (Debra) of Macon, and Andy Barrentine (Lisa) of Marshallville; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
