Betty: So sorry to hear of Mr. Rucker's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I was so sorry to learn about Mr. Rucker’s passing, although I know that he is much better off now. This community has lost an honorable man! I had the great pleasure of working for Mr. Rucker as his secretary while he was the Executive Assistant to Major General Cornelius Nugteren; it was such an honor to serve him in that capacity. I learned so much from Mr. Rucker. He was such an intelligent man and expected excellence of himself and those around him. To me he was a man of utmost integrity; I always said that if you looked up the word “integrity” in the dictionary, you would find his picture. I remember that on his 55th birthday, I had a cake made with a speed limit sign that said “Age Limit 55”; he thought it was funny and said, “Well, I hope my age isn’t limited to 55”. Of course, he went on to live another 33 years, and we were all blessed for it. Rest in peace Mr. Rucker; you will forever be missed…until we see you again in Heaven.
I am so sorry to hear about Pete’s passing. Betty, Mike, Kelly, Paula and the family just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless each of you!
