LOUISE O'NEAL TAYLOR's Obituary
Annie “Louise” Floyd O’Neal Taylor, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 13, 2024. She was 101. At Louise’s request, the funeral will be a private graveside service in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests contributions to the donor’s favorite charity.
Louise was born on March 27, 1923, to the late Shade and Pearly Borum Floyd. She was orphaned at an early age and was raised by her uncle, Fonzier Borum, and her maternal grandmother, Amanda Borum. After attending school in Henderson and Perry, Louise moved to Macon where she met John Griffin O’Neal. They were married for forty-three years before his death. In 1956, the family moved to Perry, where she would live the rest of her life. She attended both First Baptist Church of Perry and Houston Lake Baptist Church.
Louise was a talented seamstress and became the tailor in charge of men’s alterations for Sears at the Houston Mall in Warner Robins. She retired from Sears in 1986. Louise was also a wonderful cook and was especially known for her chicken dumpling pie with a cup in the pot. Of all her talents and skills, her family was her primary love.
Louise was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Crowder; her son-in-law, Paul Crowder; and her grandson, David Crowder.
Survivors include her children, John O’Neal (Carla), Jeff O’Neal (Valerie), and Jonanne Beckman (Tom); her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
