Louise Skipper George's Obituary
PerryLouise Skipper George, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 27, 2017. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Marshallville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to The ARC of Macon, 4664 Sheraton Drive, Macon, Georgia 31210. Mrs. George was born in Macon County to the late William Ellis and Jessie Newberry Skipper. She made her home in Perry and worked at Kellwood as a seamstress for nearly 32 years. Her passion for sewing allowed her to create beautiful drapery, bumper pads, and blankets for the grandchildren whom she adored. Louise served the Lord faithfully and was proud to be a Charter Member of Second Memorial Baptist Church. Her door was always open to anyone in need and her "home was a home for everybody". She was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend.Left to cherish the memory of Louise are her children; Pam Griggs (Jon) of Macon and David George (Kathy) of Perry; sisters, Charlene Booker and Norma Jean Kusuda (Wilfred); grandchildren, Emily Wilkinson (Fletcher), Jonathan Griggs (Sara), Rebecca Albritton (Perry), Mary Kathleen George, Robert Warren George; a soon to be first great-grandchild and namesake, Olivia Louise Wilkinson; and sister-in-laws, Barbara Skipper, Lounelle Broadaway, Lettie Ruth Newsome, and Ouida "Weeder" Moehrke.
