Lorna Knudsen's Obituary
Lorna Jane Frohardt Knudsen, an 87 year old native of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and a resident of Mobile died on January 3, 2015, surrounded by her family. Lorna Knudsen worked in Harlan, Iowa as a Kindergarten teacher, and at Paulk and Finn and Morey’s Clothing in the alteration department. She also worked at McRae’s Department Store in Mobile, Alabama. She has been an active member at Meadowlake Baptist Church and has lived her life serving the Lord Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elsie Frohardt, husband Richard E. Knudsen, grandson Adam Knudsen, brother Merlin Frohardt, and brother, Melvin Frohardt. Lorna Frohardt Knudsen is survived by sons David (Susie) Knudsen, of Kenai, Alaska, Philip Knudsen of Mission Viejo, California, and daughters, Lois (Ron) Sullivan, and Marcia (Rick) Ranew of Mobile, and Linda (Gaius) Ryan of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Ruth (Steven) Barnes of Canton, Georgia: 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. The family will receive friends at Serenity Funeral Home on Monday, January 5 from 6-8 pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, January 6 at 11 a.m. at Meadowlake Baptist Church of Mobile.Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
