LORI WILLS HOWARD's Obituary
ELKO-
Lori Michelle Wills Howard passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, after an extended illness. She was 58 years old. At her request, all services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Jay’s HOPE Childhood Cancer Foundation, 1157B Forsyth Street, Macon, GA 31201.
Lori was born in Kennesaw on July 9, 1967, to the late Billy and Geraldine Crowe Wills. She attended Westfield School and was a graduate of Perry High School, before advancing her education at Mercer University, where she graduated with honors. Lori worked at Elberta Alternative School and at Rainbow House. Beyond her professional life, Lori was devoted to her family and her high school sweetheart, Mike. Lori and Mike fell in love when they were 15 years old and have been together ever since. Together, they shared a love of the outdoors, often spending time camping and fishing. Lori's dedication to her family was profound, as she and Mike cared for several family members in their times of need, including her grandmother, sister, mother, and father. This selfless sacrifice was a testament to her loving nature.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Lori are her loving and devoted husband of over 40 years, Mike Howard of Elko; her children, Michael Howard and Amanda Kirkland (Jeff); her grandchildren, Billy Howard, Luke Kirkland, and Boone Howard; her brother, Mark Wills (Lori) of Cartersville; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
