Lonnie Hugh O'Mary's Obituary
Lonnie H. O’Mary, age 72, a longtime resident of Semmes, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after 30 years of employment. He was a longtime member of Life Church where he served as an usher and operated the bus ministry. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was loved and cherished by family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his Father, Burvin C. O’Mary, Mother, Lois N. O’Mary, beloved wife, Sherrie G. O’Mary, and brother, Edward C. O’Mary. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty C. O’Mary, his four sons, Jonathan (Mandy) O’Mary, Benjamin (Sundee) O’Mary, Jeremy (Chandra) O’Mary, Joshua (Stephanie) O’Mary, a daughter, Julie (Mike) Ward, 9 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Serenity Funeral Home, from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Chapel services will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS.
