LOIS HUTCHINSON WATSON's Obituary
Bonaire- Lois Hutchinson Watson passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. She was 96. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Houston Lake Baptist Church with Reverend Fred McCoy officiating. The Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 4:00 p.m., and the Funeral will begin at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be in Bonaire Cemetery immediately following the service.
Lois was born on April 11, 1926, in Adrian, Georgia, to the late Vernon and Beanne Hutchinson. A resident of Bonaire most of her life, Lois worked as an Electronic Technician with Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base, from where she retired after thirty years of service. A very independent lady all of her life, she was an avid gardener who enjoyed working in the yard almost every day. Even as she began to age and knew that the sun and heat were not good for her, she continued doing all of the things that she wanted to do. Mrs. Lois loved her family and treasured all the time spent with them, especially her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Deda”. She welcomed opportunities to be with her friends and regularly gathered with her “Lunch Bunch” Bonaire ladies. Mrs. Lois was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of fifty-seven years, Candler Scarborough Watson; her son and daughter-in-law, Dewell and Ann Watson; and six siblings.
Left to cherish the memories they made with their “Deda” are her loving and devoted son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Sandy Watson of Clarkesville; her grandchildren, Kirk Watson (Sunny Brook) of Warner Robins, Stacey Watson of Kathleen, Brandi Ward (Ritchie Ward) of Baldwin, GA; her great-grandchildren, McKinley Ward, Bryson Ward, and Samuel Watson; and many nieces and nephews.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
