Linda was born on December 25, 1957, to the late William “Buddy” and Virginia Butterworth Oliver. She moved to Perry with her family when she was a young child. Linda attended Happy Hour School and Workshop for 25 years and the Kay Center in Fort Valley where she was affectionately called, “The Boss Lady.” She had an angelic smile that would melt your heart. She loved to give hugs, and especially loved telling people what to do, hence the nickname. She spent many hours listening to and singing along with Elvis Presley. One of her favorite things to do was watch wrestling, and those nearby knew that’s what she was doing and enjoying it. Linda has always been a special angel and now is perfect in every way. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Mike Oliver.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Linda are her sisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne and Jim Passinault of Fort Valley and Cindy and Keith Padgett of Haynesville; 7 nieces and nephew; 9 great-nieces and -nephews; her aunt, Betty Spires; and her uncles, Billy Butterworth, Randall Butterworth, and Jimmy Butterworth.
The family offers Special Thanks to all Linda’s caregivers through the years. A big “Thank You” to LaTrina Avant for the help, loved, devotion, and affection she had for Linda.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
