Leverne 'Buck' Eason's Obituary
Leverne "Buck" Eason, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home with interment in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. The family will receive friends between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, the hour prior to the service.
Mr. Eason was born in Baxley and had lived in Perry since 1976. He was retired from Continental Can Company. Mr. Eason was an accomplished steel guitar player, and when he was younger, he played with George Jones Band, Ricky Scaggs Band, Jim Stafford, and Vasser Clemens. A regular at Powersville Opry, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame there. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Eason.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Connie Chambers of Milledgeville, Jimmy Eason (Ann) and Teri Hickman, both of Perry, Sandi Eason of Milledgeville, and Bucky Eason (Lyn) of Kathleen; fifteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
