Mr. Leslie Taylor Richardson Sr.'s Obituary
Age 81, a resident of Theodore, AL passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Barbara Richardson, son, Arthur Edward Richardson and son-in-law, Kenneth Boyer. He is survived by his children, Ladonna (David) Pope, Lori (Victor) McArdle, Leslie Richardson Jr., Kim Boyer and William (Danny) Richardson, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was known by many as Captain Les. He was a reluctantly retired tug boat captain, as he loved being on the water and often mentioned how he wished he was still actively working. He was a Charter member of the American Legion Post 250 in Fowl River, as well as part of their Honor Guard which he took great pride in, a Life member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the VFW and also a member of the Moose Lodge. He was an active member of the ORR Mardi Gras Association in Fowl River, where he served as King in 2014. He was a big Alabama College Football fan and loved Nascar. We could go on forever about his likes and life but lets just say he will truly be missed but will remain in our hearts forever. As we grieve for his loss we know he is in a better place and its a little easier knowing we will be with him again one day.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 11 am with visitation from 9 am until service time. Interment will be in Wall of Honor in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
