Leonard Giegerich, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Macon after a long battle with heart problems. A service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. Immediately following will be a celebration of his life service at Area 41 on Macon Highway. The family suggests contributions to "Raise the Roof Fund" at the Bank of Perry. According to the wishes of his family, casual attire will be very appropriate.
Leonard was born in Miami and was the son to the late Leonard J. and Vera Childs Giegerich. He had lived in Perry since 1975. An over the road truck driver, he also worked for years with Davee's Hardwood. Other than his family, he loved Jesus, music, and riding motorcyles.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Denise Giegerich of Perry; children, Ben Giegerich of Dublin, Jennifer Smart of Hawaii, and Leonard J. Giegerich of Minnesota; sister, Karen Weyan of Orlando, Florida, grandchildren: Jordan Smart, River Giegerich, Ayden Giegerich, and Kaylee Giegerich.
