Ladonna Crumley's Obituary
KATHLEEN-
Ladonna Harper Crumley, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church of Kathleen with Reverend Matt Walls and Reverend David Fisher officiating. Interment will be in Haynesville Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be on Monday, December 17, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home in Perry.
Ladonna was born in Perry to the late Hoke and Lucille West Harper. A graduate of Perry High School, she had lived in Houston County all of her life. Ladonna was a Godly woman who loved the Lord. She attended Southside Baptist Church of Kathleen. An excellent cook, she worked for the Houston County Board of Education as Main Dish Cook in the cafeteria at Houston County High School, where she retired last year after 13 years of service. Ladonna also had a "green thumb", enjoyed beautiful flowers, and could grow anything she planted in her garden. She loved her family and especially enjoyed reading Bible stories to her precious grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Grammy". To most others who knew her, she was "Ma", and will be dearly missed.
Left to cherish the memories are her loving husband of 36 years, Dickie Crumley of Kathleen; her children, Tony Owings (Blair) of Webb City, MO, Leigh Crumley Cantrell (Chris) of Gainesville, and Andy Curtis Crumley (Jenny) of Perry; nine grandchildren; her sister, Joann Moore of Hawkinsville; her brothers, Ronnie Harper (Faye) of Perry, and Lynn Harper (Marti) of Macon; and many extended family members.
Friends are invited to leave a special story or condolence for the family in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
