Kimiyo Todoroki Odam's Obituary
Kimiyo Todoroki Odam wasloved by her family and friends. Kimiyo will be remembered as a very exceptional person. She was the daughter of Kazu and Kau Todoroki. Kimiyo grew up in Japan and was raised with 13 siblings. She had seven brothers and six sisters. She met the love of her life and soulmate, Donald in Japan. On August 2, 1963 Kimiyo exchanged wedding vows with Donald. Kimiyo was a wonderful mother to her children. She was blessed with A daughter Janet and a son, Daniel. Another blessing for Kimiyo was the gift of two grandchildren, granddaughter, Madison and grandson, MacGregor. Kimiyo was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling and sewing. Kimiyo’s faith was important to her. She was a member of Sukyo Mahikari for 40 years. She enjoyed traveling and time away with her husband on vacations to Japan. It was a chance for her visit her family. Other vacations included cross country trips with her husband and children creating lasting memories. One of her favorite pastimes was feeding and caring for the birds in her garden. Kimiyo passed away at home on January 14, 2017 surrounded by her family. She fought a brave battle against cancer. She is survived by her husband, Donald; her children, Janet and Daniel; her grandchildren, Madison and MacGregor; many siblings, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Serenity Gardens. Simply stated, Kimiyo was a wonderful and kind person. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, caring and giving person who was a vital part of their lives. She leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Kimiyo Todoroki Odam.
