Kim Odell Douglass' Obituary
Kim Odell Douglass, a native of Senath, MO and resident of Bayou La Batre, AL for the past 34 years, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the age of 56. In 1984, Kim started his own business, Douglass Carpentry (later Douglass Custom Designs), specializing in all forms of fine woodworking and cabinetry. His woodwork was known for its high level of quality and design. He loved his craft and it showed in his work, which can be found throughout the entire Gulf Coast region.He was preceded in death by his mother, Ailene Fuzzell Douglass; his father, James DeWitt Douglass, Jr.; and his brother, James “Jimmy” DeWitt Douglass III. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Felicia Bryant Douglass; his children, James “Jamie” (Lindsay) Douglass and William “Andy” (Jordan) Douglass; his grandson Nathan Douglass; and other relatives and many friends.A visitation will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Serenity on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 10 am. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery in Bayou La Batre.
