Kevin Michael Tuttle's Obituary
TACHIKAWA, JAPAN-
Kevin Michael Tuttle, 24, formerly of Houston County, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing in Guam. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Warner Robins. Interment with military honors will also be on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. in Andersonville National Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2015, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church.
Kevin was born in Decatur, Georgia, December 1990. A 2009 graduate of Northside High School, Warner Robins, Georgia he participated in the football program for Northside High School's first state championship season, filming all practices and the Friday night games. After graduation he attended Macon College. In July of 2010, he moved with his parents to Germany and transferred to the University of Maryland where he made the Dean's list. In October 2012, he enlisted with the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Texas and Florida. Kevin was honorably discharged in 2014 and relocated to Tachikawa, Japan, to be with his parents briefly and was planning to return to the States this year to continue his education.
Kevin leaves a legacy of volunteer work and concern for others; as a pre-teenager he spent his summer before attending Westfield volunteering with Perry Volunteer Outreach. During his high school years he participated in many volunteer and missionary events with his peers at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church and as an adult was involved with the Red Cross at Yokota Air Force base, Japan.
Left to cherish the memories of Kevin are his loving and devoted parents, Rob and Penny Page Tuttle of Yokota AFB, Japan; his Uncle Rick Tuttle (Bambi) of Renville, Minnesota; and one cousin, Ken Tuttle, also of Minnesota.
