KEVIN D. BLOODWORTH's Obituary
WARNER ROBINS –
Kevin Douglas Bloodworth, 57, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 5, 2025, at his home. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Haynesville. The family respectfully suggests memorial contributions to Houston County Public Library, 206 Gunn Road, Centerville, Georgia 31028.
Kevin was born in Montezuma and grew up in Perry, where he actively involved with FFA in the Horticulture program at Perry High School, which laid the foundation for his love of the outdoors and agriculture. He graduated from PHS in 1986, went to Fort Valley State University, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering. Kevin worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation for over twenty-five years, holding various positions through the years, including Inspector and Assistant Construction Engineer. While he was very smart in all aspects of the DOT, Kevin was passionate about and knew the most about concrete. A gentle giant, he was an avid reader who enjoyed multiple trips to the local public library each month. Most of his life, he was without shoes whenever he could be, keeping him connected to the earth and daily grounded.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Charlie Bloodworth.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-two years, Andrea Stone Bloodworth of Warner Robins; a cousin, Robbie Hughes of Perry; and several other cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
