Life Legacy
PERRY-Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Granger, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Crossroads United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Christian Hope Church, 1600 Elberta Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093 or First Love Ministries, 623 Pine Ridge Street, Perry, GA 31069.Ken was born in East Point, Georgia, and grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated from Piper High School in Sunrise, Florida, and went on to earn an Associate's Degree from Tampa Technical College. Ken moved to Perry in 1993 and owned and operated Community Home Mortgage for nearly 20 years. He later worked as a Mortgage Broker for BB&T and most recently with SunTrust Bank. Ken was a member of the Perry Rotary Club where he was a Past President, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Will Watt Fellow. It was evident that he had a passion for working with young people. He was an active member of Christian Hope Church in Warner Robins where he was the Assistant Youth Pastor. Ken was also an active member of First Love Ministries in Perry whose purpose is to lead youth to a relationship with Jesus and create a hunger for the Word of God in young teenagers' lives. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Nancy Mullins Granger of Perry; his son, Nicholas Granger of Perry; his step-sons, Matthew Arcos of San Diego and Adam Arcos of Los Angeles; his mother, Anna Franklin (Marvin) of Perry; his father, Kenneth Granger (Debbie) of Byron; his siblings, Cheri Smith of Warner Robins and Brian Granger (Elizabeth) of Macon; and many other extended family members.Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com.
