KAY HALEY's Obituary
PERRY –
Halcyon Kay Fitzroy Haley, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 23, 2023, after an extended illness. At the request of “Miss Kay,” there will be no formal memorial services. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Kay was born in Marion, Indiana, on November 2, 1939. She was a fun lady who loved to laugh, sing, dance, and enjoy life. Kay loved with all her heart and had a protective spirit for those she loved. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Russel and Marjorie Pitts Fitzroy; her husband, of forty-five years, Robert Lee Haley; a son, Terry Lee Herring; a grandson, Jesse Lee Nugart; and a sister, Sue Fitzroy.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Kay are her children, Perry Herring (Kim) of Texas, Robin Mitchell (Ray) of South Carolina, Delona Phalan of Perry, GA, Mary Chrissy of Arkansas, and Jonetta Reeves (Eddie) of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Johnny Pierre of California; and several nieces and nephews.
