KATHY POSS CLEVELAND's Obituary
PERRY –
Katherine Lynne “Kathy” (Poss) Cleveland, 62, went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 12 Noon (CT) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Knox, Indiana, with visitation one hour prior to services. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 12 Noon (ET) at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry, Georgia, with Pastor John Lehenbauer officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to Christ Lutheran Church, 208 Langston Road, Perry, GA 31069.
Kathy was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on August 24, 1960, to James E. Poss, Sr. and the late Judith “Judy” E. (Odom) Poss. Kathy loved the ocean, seafood, and time spent with her grandchildren. She was a proud member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Mission League and always enjoyed serving her church in many various capacities.
Kathy was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, Rodney Cleveland; her mother, Judy Poss; her father-in-law, Robert Cleveland; and her brother-in-law, Randy Kissinger.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Kathy are her daughter, Amber McCarty (Andy), and her son, Ryan Cleveland, both of Knox, Indiana; her father, James “Jim” Poss of Perry, Georgia; her sister, Linda Overly (Mark); her brothers, Chris Poss and Eddie Poss (Carrie); six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Kathy’s mother-in-law, Eunice Cleveland; her sisters-in-law, Penny Kissinger and Tammy Van Volkenberg (Dave); her brother-in-law, Kenny Cleveland; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
